So I have spent much of this week trawling through blogs, so far I have set up an RSS feed for New Scientist, a couple of feeds from blogs from this project and a couple of randoms that caught my eye.
One of them is nicely titled 'When I Grow Up I Want To be A Librarian' This is making me want to change my title too 'I really Wanted To Be A Mermaid' as that was the very first thing I wanted to be, then a Librarian. It is also quite interesting and librarianly. :)
Another blog got my attention after reading this about the blogger:
"By day, I'm a mild-mannered librarian in a pokey one horse town, but by night I customise/butcher/torture vintage guitars while knocking back too much home brew. Then blog about comics, movies, music, TV, and even occasionally books and librarianship."
This appealed to my comicbook nerdiness! Oh yes indeedy! :)
I like the idea of having a blog as a Librarian but seeing as I haven't updated my Livejournal since before Christmas, who knows! I find Facebook so much easier as it's all one-liner-status-updates which is usually about as much as I have to say for myself!

Apparently I wanted to be a "pottery girl" at some point (no I'm not sure what's involved either), but mermaid sounds much cooler. I love the pink flowers at the top, reminds me very much of the movie Persepolis, based on a the graphic novels of the same name. (I did type "comic book" first, but I think it's now considered unhip).
